Blue Days

Blue Days is a mangrove area with various types of trees typical of mangrove areas growing with a seemingly unlimited area of the level, exploration to explore further territory is hampered by the existence of non-Euclidian terrain in this level. This level is characterized by the color of the atmosphere and even the color of the light, which is predominantly blue. There are no visible celestial bodies and the level always appears to be in a state of dawn where the light is judged to be neither too bright nor too dark. The level is always filled with the sound of loud crickets whose source is unknown. The level also has a cool temperature but feels dry. There are no objects and entities to be found here.

There is a path (referred to as the "main road") 15 kilometers long that twists and turns and leads to a dead end, trees typical of mangrove areas can be found growing outside the road and forming a mangrove forest area with muddy soil. Several branches of the trail can be found to enter the mangrove forest area but survivors should be aware of the non-Euclidian terrain hazards that can appear suddenly if they go too deep. Some wooden huts can be found on the roadside where these can be used as temporary resting places.

The danger of space distortion due to the non-Euclidian terrain can occur anywhere and anytime making survivors need to be extra careful and not panic when exploring this level, this also makes many survivors reluctant to come to this level so exploration activities are quite rare. The non-Euclidean region is characterized by the loss of the sound of crickets that are usually heard along the way so if this sound starts to decrease then survivors must immediately retreat to their original location.

The mud in the forest cannot be touched and can make survivors experience no-clip through it, it is unknown where the survivors will go after entering it. Entering the distorted region will make survivors lost and it will be difficult to return to their original place, this distortion hazard will get worse over time and it is unknown how severe the impact will be because no survivors have returned after entering the region. This level also has many rivers along with boats that can be used, strangely the river area tends to be safer from the threat of space distortion hazards so exploring the level by boat is more often done by survivors. Despite the theme of mangrove areas, there are still no beach areas or rising/falling tide processes to be found.

Update

  • Update 1

Several survivor groups have reported the presence of buildings of various shapes and sizes in the middle of the forest, all of which can be found standing upright at the edge of the path for survivors to enter. There is no difference in the design and content of the buildings to what exists on Earth such as houses or rented buildings, even the color of the buildings is not dominated by blue unlike the wooden shacks on the main road. All of these buildings are known to be quite difficult to find due to the disturbance of the non-Euclidean terrain that will hinder survivors who want to look for them so that they must rely on the luck factor to find them. However, exploring to find these buildings is not recommended as it is not beneficial at all and only endangers the survivors. These buildings are known to be infested by Deathmoth entities so survivors must be careful of attacks, in addition there are no useful objects that can be used by survivors, and there are no noclip fields that can be used by survivors to go to other levels. All of these buildings are known to move around randomly so their locations cannot be mapped, but will usually be quite far in the middle of the forest.

  • Update 2

A group of survivors who explored Blue Days provided their exploration experience and one of the pieces of information they provided mentioned the existence of three Pillar of Creations standing within the level. Due to the nature of the phenomenon, the group of survivors did not dare to approach the giant structures with the danger of the non-Euclidean field blocking them. The three structures were initially mistaken for three lines of light until the survivor group finally managed to approach them. Approaching them has been banned for the safety of the survivors.

  • Update 3

A thread was posted on the Backrooms information sharing forum by user @el_seranimo, reporting on a collection of documentation of the discovery of structures within the level by survivors. In the report all of these structures were noted to usually be found in other levels and seemed to be outside of the Blue Days theme of mangrove forests. This user argues in his report about the possibility that the building-like structures that have been discovered lately are actually from other levels and are not native to this level, suggesting that Blue Days was somehow "invaded" by foreign structures that were not native to the level. It is not known how this phenomenon occurred and there is no evidence to suggest any missing structures from other levels, so this thread was dismissed as nothing more than a conspiracy. However, the user theorized again by linking the existence of the three Pillar of Creations with the appearance of the strange structures, but his theory received less attention from many users due to the discovery of the new level that was being talked about at the time.

  • Update 4

Reports of the discovery of Hampi in this level have increased over time, they can now be found anywhere even in the middle of paths so they are considered the dominant entity in this level. Due to their nature that has been known so far, their existence is the main marker of the existence of the non-Euclidean field around them so they can be used as a marker. However, their continued discovery suggests that the existence of the non-Euclidean field is no longer what it used to be—more numerous and extensive. This also makes survivors reluctant to visit this level due to the danger of the non-Euclidean terrain.

  • Update 5

The last known photo of Blue Days.

Visits into this level were later stopped after reports from many survivors stated that the non-Euclidean terrain in this level was getting worse as time went on. Even entering this level would be considered suicide due to the considerable risk, plus the many reports of survivors going missing after entering this level further added to the survivors' reasons to prohibit other survivors from entering this level. The last report was only a damaged photo along with a brief note from a survivor, in his report he mentioned that this level had changed because of the strange structures found dominating the forest along with the Hampi that filled the path to the point of covering his body. He also informed that the three Pillar of Creations looked bigger than before as if they were approaching him. The survivor also warned that no one should come to this level again before he finally said goodbye in his report.

There are no bases, posts or communities at this level.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

So far, Blue Days can only be entered by:

  • Entering the tree grove at Megamendung; and
  • Entering the mangrove area at any level.

However, any access to this level has been blocked for safety reasons.

Exits

  • Entering each path that has been marked by survivors who have explored this level before will lead the survivor to the level corresponding to the marker, such as: Industrial Village, Land of Earth, Silent Climb, and Megamendung. Please be careful when passing through these trails as possible space distortion field disturbances may occur suddenly.
  • Taking a boat for a few hours along the river will take the survivor to Marine, this boat will suddenly no-clip into the river and the survivor will suddenly be in the middle of the sea Marine.
