Old Office

Description

The Old Office has the appearance of an Earth-style office complex with a total of six rooms connected by a hallway—so this level is limited in size. Each room has white paint and gray carpeted floors, but the poor lighting gives a gloomy feel to all the rooms. The absence of entities or objects gives survivors a sense of security even though they have to conserve their resources while in the level. This level is very quiet and gives the impression that it has been abandoned for a long time, this is also supported by the musty smell that can be smelled in all rooms. All the office equipment in each room is known to be from the 90s which adds to the old and authentic feel of the level.

All rooms have the same size of about 6x7 meters, unlike the bathrooms which are much smaller. All the rooms are filled with various things related to the office theme such as document cabinets, work cubicles, stationery, electronic equipment, and so on—yet none of them are actually usable. All the electronics would turn on but not work, every piece of stationery would be used up, and the document papers would be filled with random characters. However, sanitary facilities such as bathrooms function normally and survivors can use the running water as a source of drinking water.

There is not much for survivors to do in the level due to the lack of interesting things in all the rooms, the overall atmosphere is considered monotonous and boring so survivors who have entered this level choose to pass the time by meditating or sleeping. The quiet, gloomy, and cool atmosphere is very supportive of these activities especially sleeping, but this sleeping activity can be detrimental to survivors as they may miss the opportunity to exit the level.

At the end of the hallway that connects each room is an elevator door that will open by itself at random times, the opening of this door can only be known by the sound of "ding" and survivors can only exit the level by entering it. However, due to the randomness of the event and the length of time it takes, survivors have no choice but to wait patiently or even fall asleep. The duration of the elevator doors opening is estimated to last only five minutes, so survivors should rush out when the elevator doors open. If the survivor misses the elevator then the survivor will have to wait for it to arrive again, which is why survivors must focus on waiting for it to arrive.

Many survivors have mentioned that this level is indeed suitable for meditation due to its silence and isolating nature, survivors can choose between utilizing this tranquility to be productive with their work or just relaxing in all the rooms as they please. While this level has been considered one of the best locations for meditation, the issue of cleanliness always rises to the surface. Survivors can find trash left by other survivors in the level, and sometimes even traces of vandalism behavior can be found in the level. It is heartening to know that there are volunteers who are willing to maintain the conditions inside the level on a regular basis.

Bases, Outpost, and Communities

There's no bases, outpost, and communities in this level.

Entrances and Exits

Via lift.

Entrances

Levels can be entered by pressing the number 32 button on each elevator that survivors can find in other levels, for example in Crematorium and Balihud Hotel. The elevator will close by itself if the survivor gets out of the elevator so the survivor must make up their mind if they want to enter the level because they don't know when this elevator will come back. The survivor can still change levels even if the elevator has arrived at the level as long as the survivor does not exit the elevator. Levels only accept one survivor, the number keys to the level will not work if there is more than one person in the elevator.

Exits

Pressing any number button on the elevator will send the survivor to another level according to the number. The arrival of the elevator to this level happens by itself rather than being called manually, so survivors who want to get out of the level must always pay attention to the sound of the elevator arrival.
